Now available to stream on Hulu, Up Here is a love song for anyone who’s ever let the mistakes of the past dictate their future. The romantic comedy takes place in New York City and uses original music to symbolize the unrelenting thoughts circulating in an individual’s head. After spending their lives failing to drown out the opinions of others, Lindsay and Miguel’s blossoming relationship begins to lead them down a road of self-fulfillment. The stage musical was written and adapted for television by Steven Levenson and Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. Levenson is known for his work on the Dear Evan Hansen screenplay, while Sanchez-Witzel previously served as a producer for the Zooey-Deschanel-led comedy, New Girl. Up Here stars Mae Whitman ( Good Girls ) as Lindsay and Carlos Valdes ( The Flash ) as Miguel. The rest of the main cast includes Katie Finneran, Sophia Hammons, Emilia Suárez, Andréa Burns, John Hodgman, and Scott Porter.
