ChatGPT and AI aren’t here to replace your content writer: Here’s why

Post-launch in November 2022, the Microsoft-owned AI chatbot ChatGPT has revolutionized the world of technology with over 77% adoption globally. US companies are increasingly deploying ChatGPT in writing code (66%), creating content (58%), and offering customer service (57%). And that’s where content writers feel insecure about ChatGPT gradually replacing them. Millennials are 43% more worried about job losses due to AI than other generations. But as a founder of an AI content writing platform, I feel ChatGPT isn’t likely to replace human resources and take away jobs. As TCS CHRO agrees, “ChatGPT-like generative AI platforms can be an excellent co-worker who will help improve productivity but not alter a company’s business model.” ChatGPT cannot replace human content writers ChatGPT can streamline workflows and reduce turnaround time. But it cannot replace the efficiency of human content writers. Here’s why: ChatGPT is not perfect Writers who do not research content may find ChatGPT responses better than their writing. Still, the AI content generator may even generate misleading and incorrect content with basic errors in comprehending terminologies. For example, regional and culture-specific terminologies like “Biryani”, “Kaiten-sushi”, and “Marzipan” have erroneous outputs even after several prompts. The tool depicts “Biryani” as a “Tiffin” when it is a rice delicacy consumed mainly as a meal.
