The hunker-down mode didn’t bode well for two debut authors trying to get the word out about their work. Yet, ironically, what made their novels relevant, and reflective, of Humboldt County’s local culture makes them even more relevant today. Moskowitz and Wollenberg will have their first book launch event at Septentrio Winery, 650 Sixth St., Arcata, on Oct. 1 starting at 4 p.m. The authors will read from their books, answer questions and sign books.
