And this alone is a seemingly impossible task—the monster IP has left countless creatives in its destructive wake. The bottom line is if you want to watch amazing scenes and stories, you don’t need to look further than the live-action Star Wars series on Disney+, Andor . I understand if maybe you did a spit take just now. The combined legacies of Star Wars and Disney+ don’t leave you thinking, “Great writing.” Good at many other things… wildly popular and successful… but a masterclass in writing? In creating stakes and character studies? In dialogue? In crafting layered meaning? Surely not! But I’ll tell you again. It’s all there. And I’m going to take the time to lay it out because frankly, I love that it’s there and wish it was in everything. And why can’t it be?
