The late-night shows were the first to go off air. The MTV Movie & TV Awards were forced to switch to a pretaped show after host Drew Barrymore dropped out. And work on the final season of the chart-topping Netflix show “Stranger Things” has halted. Productions across Hollywood are feeling the pinch as the strike by 11,000 television and movie writers, which began last week , continues. The Writers Guild of America is demanding an increase in minimum wages and standardization of residual or royalty payments, among other priorities.
